Series: Sermon On The Mount_Matt. Chapter 5-7

The sermon on the mount is one of the most forceful sermons ever preached or ever recorded. It was preached by the Son of God. This sermon sets forth in simple terms, what the life of a Christian is to be. It pictures Christianity as a series of decisions leading to a final destination, that destination being eternal glory in the presence of God in Heaven. This sermon has been referred to by some as the “constitution” of Christianity. All the simple elements that are necessary in pleasing God are given here in such a simple manner that they may be easily applied to all phases of our lives under any circumstances. There is no command of God given to us that these principles could not apply in the obedience thereof. Let our hearts be open and receptive that we might gain the greatest good from our study.
